
In Cambodia talented children do not get IT-, soft- and life skills to escape poverty by becoming self-sustainable. To solve this problem Foundation Investment for Life (“IFL”) has developed a program together with local NGO Bethel Mission Organisation (“BMO”) to build 4 computer schools and provide around 2,500 high school students with the necessary skills in three years.
Based on local benchmarks it is expected that after graduation the student’s monthly income will increase from around to , which will result in a ROI of 1,000x over their entire working career. The program will also benefit children in three slums in Phnom Pehn outside the regular school system
Samrong high school is located in Samrong South Village, Soutr Nikom district, Siem Reap province. The school is resided in the land of 1.3 hectares.
Bakchechien high school is located in Bakchenchien village, Bakchenchien commune, Phnom Kravanh district, Pursat province. The school is located on 21,314 square meters.
Krang Sramor is located in Kraing Sram Village in Kampong Chnang Province. The school is located on more than 3 hectares of land and has 7 school buildings with 26 class rooms for 1,165 students.
Tbeng High School is located along national road 6 to Siem Reap in Bakong Village in Kampong Thom Province. The school was established in in 1984 on 18 hectares with 8 buildings, including a girl students residence, accommodating 1,291 students.
VealPong High School is located along Road 136 near Khum VealPong in Kampong Speu province. The school exists since 1990 and has 1,240 students in 24 class rooms and no computers in the last 33 years. This computer lab has been co-funded with De Heus.
We are proud of the opening of our first Career Development Center in Phnom Penh in the presence of 6 school principals, 12 teachers, 25 alumni grade 12 students, representative of the governor and several other guests on February 15, 2023.
Samaki is located in the capital city Phnom Penh. It is a large school based on 34,632 square meters and consists of 6 large school buildings with 72 class rooms.
Boriva is located in Kampot province, 109 km from Phnom Penh along national road 3 in a remote community, 2 km from the main road.
In November 2021, the IFL team has opened the second computer room in Graveyard community, one of the slums in Phnom Penn.
Sampov Poun is located in Koh Thom, Kandal province, on the plot of land of more than 50,000 square meters, 63 km from Phnom Penh bordering Vietnam.
On 12 March 2021, the second computer class room has been installed in a high school in the province of Kampong Speu 71 km from Phnom Penh.
Our partner Advanced Centre for Empowerment (ACE) has opened their first computer room in a slum in Phnom Penh with support from Smiles of Hope foundation and IFL
In April 2021 the IFL team has opened the first computer room in one of the slums in Phnom Penn.
In 2019 this project was the starting point of the Foundation. The computer room is a great succes so far.
