Samrong high school is located in Samrong South Village, Soutr Nikom district, Siem Reap province. The school is resided in the land of 1.3 hectares.
The school was established in 1993 and has 7 school buildings with 28 class rooms.
The school has 49 teachers, of which 25 females, teaching with 1,480 students including 814 girls studying from grade 7 – 12.
The school used to have a computer lab, but without any program and maintenance the lab has completely disappeared years ago. The new computer lab was opened on June 17, 2024 in the presence of Rikkert, Ivo and Roxy from IFL Netherlands and the representatives of DoE, commune office, school principal and SMC.
Mr. Lorn, the school principal of Samrong high school, school#11, said “I would appreciate the project and IFL for the kind support for the donation of the computer lab. Without your support I would never have had any computer class for my student. You are helping in the right moment where everyone needs technology. It is the real need of our students. It is hard to receive and donation as we are in the very rural community. One behalf of the school management committee, I would like to give my high value and respect for your donation.
