On 12 March 2021, the second computer class room has been installed in a high school in the province of Kampong Speu 71 km from Phnom Penh.
The story in short
We have opened the second school in Kampong Spue 71 km from Phnom Penh. The Samdach Ov Samdach Mae (The King and the Queen) Basedth High School has 44 class room with 947 students on 50,000 square meters of land with a large soccer- and volleyball field.
Together with the Deputy Director of Education this school was selected because of: i) good management; ii) good security; iii) good electricity and internet; iv) separate computer class room; v) 2 teachers with IT skills.
The selection was completed on February 25. The contract has been signed between the department of education (Mr. Kimbach), the school principal (Mr. Maly), and IFL (Mr. Ann) on March 10. The installation of 15 computers by the IFL project team has started on March 12. As of next month 180 students per annum will receive IT literacy training.
