Bakchechien high school is located in Bakchenchien village, Bakchenchien commune, Phnom Kravanh district, Pursat province. The school is located on 21,314 square meters.
The school was established in 1989 with 1 school building cover by zine. Until 2015 the school growth to 5 school buildings with 26 class rooms and 48 teachers, of which 16 female, that teach 1,097 students, 584 girls.
The computer lab was installed and opened on March 27, 2024 in the presence of the deputy district governor, deputy director of DoE, commune chief, the village leader, school principal and SMC representatives.
Meng Oun, girl, grade 11 of Bakchenchien High School, school#10, expressed her excitement about learning IT and she told that “It is my first time to study the computer in my life because my family could not afford for me to go and learn outside. It was a little challenging for me, but after I tried for a while and I discovered that I could click and type. At the moment, I could use Microsoft offices. I would want to express my gratitude to IFL, the principal and the teachers who invested their financial support, material resources and time to set up the computer lab and teach the students. I would have never been able to learn if no support from IFL. I wish you the best.”
Mr. Vuthy, the deputy Director of the Department of Education (DoE) said during the opening of Bachenchien high school, school#11, that "On behalf of DoE and the schhool, I would like to thank IFL Netherlands, for the kind donation and support to Bakchechien High School.” He added that “There is only one high school within the province that has a full project support. I will work with the school to make the project is done according to the signed Agreement. I would wish IFL and the project team the best wishes.
Mr. Pharith, 48, the school principal said "We are grateful for the support of the IFL project to our school. Our school failed the point of the computer lab in the indicator of the model school competion. We asked the support from the MoE and DoE, but we have never received any help. I feel very excited on behalf of the teachers and the students. I would like to express my gratitude to IFL and the project team for selecting my school, Bakchechien High School as a partner.”

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Bunna said “I am very pleased to see the computer class existed in my school where this will benefit to our students and teachers. I would commit to achieve the plan as agreed. I do hope IFL will expand the support with more computers in the future.”
